This is my space.

This is where I come to organize my thoughts and ideas, and where the evolution of my political ideology has taken me…and I think I’m still evolving.

If you need to pigeonhole me into some kind of identifiable political “ism”, I would tell you that I currently consider myself a neolibertarian.

You may want to ask me again tomorrow however…politics (and the world) are in a constant state of change, and so am I.

I very much like what you express about constant evolving of thoughts – me too! (Recently on a simple on-line political ‘identifier’ I came in as “liberal-libertarian”.)

Re your recent natural born citizen piece, nice logic. Just one thing, I believe that under UK nationality law at the time, Obama could only have acquired UK citizenship from his father had he been born in the UK.

      Thanks for the response.

Barack Hussein Obama Sr. was born in 1963, in Kenya. Kenya became a British colony in 1919, making him a British subject at birth.

According to pre-1983 British nationality laws, Obama would not be able to access British nationality from his father if his was British by descent. Being born post-colonization made Obama Sr. a British subject at birth.

In my opinion, that means that Obama Jr. gained his British nationality from Sr. since he met the “born a subject” caveat.

Your last post was a couple months ago.

I hope you are doing well, but know there are others that need to hear your voice and appreciate it.

Greetings from Brisbane, Australia. I’ve only been blogging for about 18 months now. I find it quite relaxing to put my thoughts into words on a screen. And the new blogging platforms, both free and paid, make it very easy. Thanks for sharing.
