Federal Judge Susan Bolton seriously crippled Arizona’s SB1070 last week. In her findings, the Clinton appointee uses the following logic:
“Requiring Arizona law enforcement officials and agencies to determine the immigration status of every person who is arrested burdens lawfully-present aliens because their liberty will be restricted while their status is checked.”
Let’s extend that thought…
Road sobriety checks are no longer legal, as requiring law enforcement officials to determine the state of drunkenness of every person stopped burdens sober drivers because their liberty will be restricted while their blood alcohol content is checked
The same applies for license checks.
How about prostitution raids on brothels?
Some of the men may just be there for the wings and the nachos, and their liberty will be restricted while the officers look into the activities of those who weren’t there for the food.
Can’t we just fire everyone in government and start all over again?
